Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most famous role is Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama Breaking Bad, for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. She also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell attracted to acting during preparation for her first performance before moving to Ohio. She was a student at Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career working in the Chicago area theatres for a short time. She then moved on to film and television. In 1992 Anna got her first major part as Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. Anna continued to be guest stars on a number of television movies and shows like Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she appeared in a role that she reprised in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons during Deadwood's 2nd season. Skyler was the character she played as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Also, she starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn has also appeared on the stage in a David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. In 2022 the actress also appeared in a series of podcast of audio plays called"Numbered Days. Breaking Bad is often centered around the relationship that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and eventual end resembles the last years of Walter White's life.
