Alana De La Garza is an amazing actress who is leaving a mark on the tiny screen. In the year 1976, De La Garza was born to a Mexican-American father and an Irish-American mother from Columbus Ohio. Her move to Texas for the purpose of pursuing an occupation as a physical therapist at the University of Texas. De La Garza did not stay in Texas for very long. She soon made the move in Orlando Florida, where she was able to take on various parts as an actor, such as local independent commercials and films. The small parts didn't stop her from finding out that she enjoyed acting. In 2001, she moved to New York where her first appearance was on the All My Children's morning soap in the role of Rosa Santos. During the early part of the 2000s, she appeared in small part for JAG Vegas as well as Two and a Half Men. In 2004, she got her first major series role on the short-lived drama The Mountain. The character was Maria Serrano and De La Garza was lucky enough to star alongside some top TV actors including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Anson Mount and Mitch Pileggi. The most memorable part of her career was in 2006's Law & Order where she appeared as A.D.A. Connie Rubirosa. The actress was featured in 85 episodes. Her character on the Law & Order: LA spinoff was only a few episodes. This character was a hit and earned De La Garza numerous nominations, including Best Supporting Actress - Television by the Imagen Foundation Awards and even numerous ALMA Award noms. In 2008, she was awarded one of the Impact Award for Outstanding Performance in a Dramatic Television Series from the National Hispanic Media Coalition. De La Garza landed a part-time role in CSI Miami a short time later. She was cast as Marisol Delko, the wife of David Caruso's Horatio. In NBC's dark, dramatic drama Do No Harm she played the character in the role of the character Dr. Lena Solis. The series was cancelled after just two episodes.
